Little Chapel

7 Comments Architecture, Galleries, Landscape

Today I came across this little chapel. Outlined by a hedge and framed by oak trees, it’s a wonderful place to take a rest and think about stuff like the following quote.

For where God built a church, there the Devil would also build a chapel.

One of these moments in the woods to think of why the environment has to be preserved.

Big Sky in Spring

8 Comments Galleries, Landscape

Springtime. Though this years spring needs some time and warm temperatures and blue skys are still a bit rare at present, nevertheless nature’s awake and the fresh colors are back again. I love this season with all this fresh green of the new leafs and the growing gras.

Cleaned

In the garden, after the rain.

Here comes the rain again
falling on my head like a memory
falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
is it raining with you

First Blossoms 2012

13 Comments Flowers and Plants, Galleries

Spring makes a short break this weekend (but that’s ok, nature needs the rain), and our almond tree is fully in bloom. Like almost every year, I simply have to post a picture of an almond blossom, even it’s a very common subject ;).

Spring Break

10 Comments Animals, Flowers and Plants, Galleries

After a long and dark winter, it’s so nice to see nature’s awakening again. Though the nights are still cold, we had warm temperatures (17-20° C) the last days and the sun is shining from a clear blue sky. Yet our catkin is blooming and the first diligent bees are on the job. This weekend the daylight saving time begins here in Germany, always a sign for me that the better days (weather- and photography-related) are arriving.

The Water

Beach scenes of Zingst Peninsula

There was a time I’d dip my feet
And it would roll off my skin
Now every time I get close to the edge
I’m scared of falling in

Cause I don’t want to be stranded again
On my own
When the tide comes in
And pulls me below the surface
