Technically I’m amazed what exposure ranges a DSLR nowadays can handle. Emotionally I won’t let go the leafs, what certainly happens soon – but luckily, and even more certain, they’ll come back next year.
A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart. ~Hal Borland
Finally, burning leafs are here again.
How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days. ~John Burroughs
I guess my maple will loose it’s leaves soon because of the already frosty nights. But sunshine today, hope to take some autumn shots.
Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter. ~Carol Bishop Hipps
Autumn announces itself now with falling leaves, golden trees and smooth daylight. Scenes from a local playground.
Another brittled one. I like the autumn colors so much, they emit such a serenity and one calmed down after a walk in the autumnal silent forest or park.
Like a joy on the heart of a sorrow, the sunset hangs on a cloud;
A golden storm of glittering sheaves, of fair and frail and fluttering leaves,
The wild wind blows in a cloud.
Hark to a voice that is calling, to my heart in the voice of the wind:
My heart is weary and sad and alone, for its dreams like the fluttering leaves have gone,
and why should I stay behind?
Autumn Song by Sarojini Naidu
Today we made a walk through our autumnal forest. The weather was nearly perfect (20°C and sunny), and it was a totally relaxing day. My son has collected about 5 tons (estimated, obviously I had to carry all of them) of chestnuts, and I have a sense of foreboding that I have to dispose withered 4,999 tons of them in a few weeks ;).
