What I’m missing…
We just came back from a week on the coast and I’m already missing it, again. Strange hmm? Maybe it’s because I’m Aquarius, or, more likely, it’s because of the amount of tranquility- and serenity-effects these landscapes and the sea have on me. And the tasty food, and the landmarks, and some unforgettable moments, and…and…and… Unfortunately, these effects didn’t last very long as soon as I’m back and caught in the daily treadmill. However, I remember a quote from Steve Jobs, saying
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Word! Period!
Happy Halloween
Though Halloween is not a native german tradition and I guess it’s “imported” mainly for commercial purposes, kids have fun with trick or treat (and adults with decoration ;)
Baltic Autumn
Just arrived back home from a nice week at the coast. It was big fun as always: very good food, long walks on empty beaches and all aspects of weather conditions. From horizontal rain, storm at 8 beaufort to blue skies and vice versa, all in just 20 minutes ;-).
Hazy Coast
On the dike at Westermarkelsdorf. Love those walks on the hazy coast, and of course the evenings thereafter at the chimney fire with my sweethearts and some good black tea with rock sugar.
Summer 2011
Typical for this years “summer”: constant changes in conditions from clear skies to overcast with thunder and showers and back again, one almost every day. We’ve had 30 degrees in April and now as low as 13 degrees in August. Wired. Maybe it’s time to to shift the seasons a bit.
Lands End
Lands End on the western shore of Fehmarn. Unpeopled and with good weather conditions, this is a great, elemental place. Every time I visit this shore, it has changed. Trees are displanted by the elements of nature, or they’ve moved several feet away from their previous positions, but still rooted.
Thunderclouds
A quick growing active front.
Sorrows are like thunderclouds, in the distance they look black, over our heads scarcely gray.

Morning Beauty
Autumn dawns have a very special appeal. It needs some luck to catch the small time window where the light is not too strong and washed out by the usual haze but just bright enough to enlighten the scene in a warm manner which, in my region, can only be seen during fall.
Sadness flies on the wings of the morning and out of the heart of darkness comes the light. ~Jean Giraudoux

Kite
Observed from a save, comfortable and dry position (temperature of the water: 8°C).
This kite-surfing sport is quite interesting, but what wonders me is the patience the surfers must have. As far as I have observed, they need many time to enter the board, doing all at once: handling the ropes, searching for the correct angle and getting the feed on the board and the body out of the water ;)

Summer Flowers
Well, I know, it’s less inventive, but that’s how I am!

Autumn, again
Finally, burning leafs are here again.
