Blue and Yellow
Fresh!
Green green green, wherever I go. I love this season. :) And I love my slow “Primadonna” Sigma DP1s, whose output is very nice for this kind of photos. Clearly scores off my 5D.
September
The sun shines high above,
The sounds of laughter
The birds swoop down upon
The crosses of old grey churches
We say that we’re in love
While secretly wishing for rain
Sipping coke and playing games
September’s here again
September’s here again

Chill
Summer 2011
Typical for this years “summer”: constant changes in conditions from clear skies to overcast with thunder and showers and back again, one almost every day. We’ve had 30 degrees in April and now as low as 13 degrees in August. Wired. Maybe it’s time to to shift the seasons a bit.
Perfect Place
Today on an “after work ride” with my MTB I came across this weathered bench. Placed under a blooming apple tree, it was so wonderful to just sit down and listen to the natures voice, inhaling the odor of spring in the evening sun. This is what I mean with “moments like this”. For me: priceless.
Unbreakable
This wonderful tree has a moving history. Survived countless storms, suffered a lightning strike a few years ago and afterwards an almost complete cutdown of the remaining branches. But it still lives and grows a bit higher every year, getting more branches and resisting the storms.
Morning Beauty
Autumn dawns have a very special appeal. It needs some luck to catch the small time window where the light is not too strong and washed out by the usual haze but just bright enough to enlighten the scene in a warm manner which, in my region, can only be seen during fall.

Fire And Haze
Technically I’m amazed what exposure ranges a DSLR nowadays can handle. Emotionally I won’t let go the leafs, what certainly happens soon – but luckily, and even more certain, they’ll come back next year.
A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart. ~Hal Borland
